What is a zine?
A zine (pronounced like a shortened form of “magazine”) is a collection of artwork and fanfiction, brought together in one collected work to celebrate a media or theme.What are the zine specifications?
This zine is an A5 sized SFW zine. We aim to be a physical project with physical merchandise.Are AUs allowed?

Yes, spoilers are allowed.How will contributors be compensated?
At minimum, we will provide contributors with a digital copy of our zine. Should sales allow, we aim to provide contributors with a free full bundle. Additional profits after full physical bundle compensation, if any, will be split evenly amongst mods and contributors.Who is allowed to apply?
Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply.Is a Discord account required to participate?
Discord is our key method of communication. If you do not have a Discord account and wish to participate, you will be expected to create one.Do I need previous zine experience to apply?
Absolutely not! Everyone starts somewhere, and we welcome newcomers to apply.Can I apply for more than one position?

● Page Artist
Page artists are required to complete 1 full page piece of art for this zine. We will be offering the opportunity to create more pages/spreads for interested participants.
● Spot Artist
Spot artists will be expected to create 2-3 smaller spot illustrations in collaboration with one of our writing contributors. Spot artists may also have the opportunity to create spot illustrations for more than one fic, or to create a full page illustration.
● Comic Artist
Comic artists will be expected to make one comic in full colour.
The comic will be 2-4 pages. The length is up to the creator’s discretion.
● Merch ArtistsDigital merch artists will be expected to create 2-3 pieces of digital merch, including Discord emote packs, wallpapers for phone and computer, icons, digital colouring pages and printable merch, etc.Physical merch artists will be expected to create 2-3 pieces of physical merch, including bookmarks, stickers, art prints, sticker sheets, heart button, acrylic pin, 2.5" keychain (single/double sided), bubble keychain, etcArt Application GuidelinesAs an art applicant for ‘Hello Sunshine’, your work will be judged on your knowledge of anatomy, perspective, composition, colour theory, and personal style.Please choose examples you feel best reflect the kind of artwork you would like to make for our zine!Remember, you must be over 18 to apply to ‘Hello Sunshine’.● Portfolio requirement for Page Artists/Spot Artists:
-3 art pieces showcasing the best of your artistic abilities.
-All samples must be SFW if applying to the main zine.
-If applying for a position as an NSFW creator, at least one sample must be NSFW
-At least 1 art piece must have a complete background, full shading, and colouring.
-At least 1 of your pieces must feature a character from BNHA.
Pieces which include Tamaki Amajiki are encouraged but not mandatory.
● Portfolio requirement for Comic Artists:
-Comic artists will be expected to include one or more pages of previous comics in their application, but full page illustrations will also be considered.
-All samples must be SFW if applying to the main zine.
-If applying for a position as an NSFW creator, at least one sample must be NSFW
-At least 1 art piece must have a complete background, full shading, and colouring.
-At least 1 of your pieces must feature a character from BNHA.
Pieces which include Tamaki Amajiki are encouraged but not mandatory.
● Portfolio requirement for Merch Artists:
-At least 1 sample must feature a character from BNHA.
-Pieces which include Tamaki Amajiki are encouraged but not mandatory.
-Merch-specific art is highly encouraged, but it is not necessary.
-Portfolio links are welcome! Carrd and Google Drive are preferred. We will not accept portfolio accounts on Pixiv, if they are locked for 18+ content.Please note that Mods will not choose applicants based on external factors like follower counts.Writing Contributor ExpectationsAs a Writer Applicant for ‘Hello Sunshine’, your work will be judged on your grammar, flow, ability to tell a story within a given word limit, characterisation, and general writing style.Please choose examples you feel best reflect the kind of fic you would like to make for our zine!Writers will be expected to create 1-2 pieces for this zine, each 2-3k words.
Writers may have the opportunity to collaborate with another writer or artist.
Fics created MUST be centred around BNHA and prominently feature Tamaki AmajikiWriter Application GuidelinesRemember, you must be over 18 to apply to ‘Hello Sunshine’.Writer Applicants must provide three samples of their writing. For each sample, the word count will be 2k-3k.
All samples must be SFW if applying to the main zine.
If applying to the NSFW add on, then at least one sample must be NSFW.
At least one sample must feature a character from BNHA
If any of your samples are SFW but still contain potentially triggering or mature topics, please make sure that they contain visible tags.
